I am finally catching up on my blogging! Yesterday after Joe got off work, he, I, the girls, my brother Wes, and my friend Christine went to the state fair. 
We looked at all of the decorated cakes that people entered. This Starry Night cake stood out to me. So neat!
There was a big area set up with lots of animals to pet. They had a huge pig that Camryn loved. 
There was also an adorable miniature horse.
Everyone’s favorite fair animal, the pig. I can’t wait till the girls are old enough for me to read Charlotte’s Web to them.
I had been hearing all about this new fair food… the Krispy Kreme donut burger. I love burgers and I love glazed donuts, so this was right up my alley. Wes and I decided to split one (they were 8 dollars!) and I am SO glad I tried it because it was delicious. I promise.
Here we are, with our mouths full, telling Joe he had to try it. He gave it a thumbs up, too.
Christine and Camryn… no idea what they were so worried about!
Camryn was so excited to get on the rides. She smiled like this the whole time.
Summer was a bit more apprehensive but after she saw Camryn ride the cars she was ready. Summer's favorite were these boats.
Joe and Wes saw this ride and had to try it (even though I begged them not to… fair rides make me oh so nervous). They loved it… I could hear them yelling and screaming the whole time.
Zombieland, anyone?
I’d love to go back before it’s over with… I can’t stop thinking about donut burgers.

Yeah the pigs must be popular with the little ones. Ellie love it too.Wish she could have ride the rides too. We went to early. Looks like they had a fun time.

I just love fair food, but I have never seen a burger like THAT!!! WOWZER!
I miss going to fairs with my kids. Now that they're 17 and 20, they want to go alone and going with the hubster just isn't the same. Enjoy those girls as much as you can because before you know it, they'll be all grown up.
I've heard about those burgers too! I wondered if they were any good.

I love fairs!!!! Looks like you guys had a great time - but that donut burger looks so yucky :) I love donuts and burgers but that's one thing I can't imagine putting together :)
Beautiful pictures! I wish our state fair like yours...not crowded!! You have to literally push through crowds(which is nearly impossible w/ strollers) at ours!! It's sometimes awful! But you can't help going to try all the greasy food! ;)
