This morning, Summer went to her first day of 4-year-old preschool! She is going to a church preschool close to our house. She goes Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays, from 8:55-11:55am. Today was their “getting used to preschool day”, where they only had half the class there and they only go once this week.
She was SO excited. She wore her new dress and her new shoes and couldn’t wait to get there to meet her teacher and play with all the other kids.
My mom and Camryn both came with me to drop her off. We walked her into her classroom and she immediately walked away from us to play with everything. The preschool is AWESOME… huge windows in the classroom, tons of toys, and the teachers and staff are just lovely.
When we left, she was playing with a toy phone and I had to practically beg for a hug. What a big girl! Camryn was sad that she couldn’t stay there and play… She was alright once we took her to Starbucks and she got a Rice Krispy Treat, though!
When we picked Summer up, her teacher said she did great and made some friends. Exactly what I wanted to hear! Summer said they read a story, played with toys, and had a snack. She brought home a dog that she had colored to go along with the story.
She cannot wait to go back next week!
P.S. Tomorrow is her fourth birthday! YES August is the busiest month of our lives every year. And it’s only going to get busier as the girls get older!
