Passing on the Memories

Some of my favorite childhood memories are of building gigantic forts in our basement with blankets and chairs and anything else we could find.

Sometimes they took up the entire basement. We would have different "rooms", each with it's own theme. Living room, dining room, reading room... we spent hours in those things! Did you make forts and tents as a kid?

Yep, we used to take the dining room chairs and use blankets and sheets and whatever we could find to make big tents. I was looking at a catalog a few months back at work and they actually have things you can buy to make indoor tents. I say just use the blankets you have!

Hi! Thank you for coming by my blog Monday and for the compliment! I fully recommend the taking a break and staying inside when it is cold outside, lol ;)

We love to build forts around here too! In fact the girls would much rather use blankets and pillows and build secret places then play in their Tinkerbell pop-up tent.

And I love your blog too!

Angela :)

I never built forts when I was little. But Aiden loves to build them. I'm not very good at it though. I love the idea of having different little rooms!

Oh yes! All the time. It was one of our favorite games.

And then we'd have my dad and uncle come in and be monsters attacking our fort while we were inside. LOL

It was so much fun!!
