First matter of business... PLEASE, please, if you have a blog read this.
Last Friday, Camryn got a little gum stuck in her hair. I got the scissors out of the cabinet, where we keep them up high, away from kids that shouldn’t touch them. I cut the gum out, and thankfully it was just a small little section of hair. I set the scissors down on the table next to me. About 30 minutes later, Summer came up to me and asked me if I liked her hair. “Yes of course, it looks beautif-AHHHHHH! DID YOU CUT YOUR HAIR?!”
Her hair was cut halfway around her head up to her ears. She had a MULLET. She was proud of herself for a minute, but once she saw how upset I was, and once she looked in the mirror, she wasn’t too happy. In fact a few days ago she looked in the mirror and started having a meltdown, saying she wasn’t pretty anymore. I assured her that she was beautiful and her hair will grow, but also reminded her that this was why we leave hair cutting to the professionals. We’ve been trying to hide the mullet with hair clips and pigtails, but it still makes it’s presence known.
This morning, Camryn and I are hanging around the house while Summer is at preschool.Cheerios and Dora, what more could she ask for?
We are supposed to get a lot more of this today… They are calling for 6-8 inches in our area. Schools are letting out early today, and I’m sure tomorrow will be a snow day.We got a tiny bit overnight already.
I am SO ready for Spring. Who’s with me? I know this stir-crazy, sun-loving girl is!
