Cookies!

Last night, my mom, Summer, Camryn, and I made cookies.

Please excuse my lack of countertops…. We are in the process of finally finished our kitchen remodel that has been ongoing since we bought our house 1 1/2 years ago. Before/After pictures to come as soon as it's finished!

Summer and Camryn were very eager to help.

We were making melted snowman cookies, as seen here!

Summer’s very first Christmas program was scheduled for this morning (Friday). School was cancelled today because of an ice storm we had overnight, and we were hoping the ice would melt today and school would be on for tomorrow, but we found out this evening it’s already cancelled. These cookies were supposed to be for after the program at her school. I am so disappointed… I was really looking forward to the program and I know Summer was, too. She’s been walking around singing Christmas songs for weeks. We had several family members and friends that were going to go as well. I’m really hoping they get to make it up when school is back in session in January.

While we were baking and decorating, Joe was roasting marshmallows in the fireplace!

After we were done with the snowmen, I let the girls each decorate their own cookie to eat.

Sprinkles, anyone?

We’re going to try to make the best of tomorrow and spend some time at my aunt’s house in the morning, and then at 6pm we are having a group of friends over for our first annual friends' Christmas party. I can’t wait… A houseful of some of my favorite people, a honey baked ham, and a newborn that I haven’t gotten to meet yet (I need to remember to take a Tylenol beforehand to keep the Baby Fever away). It should be a great evening!

A few things...

1) Summer really is your twin.
2) What an adorable idea for cookies! I've never seen those before, and kind of love them.
3) You seem like such a wonderful mother. Probably because you are.

Happy weekend, Steph!
