After preschool today, the girls and I headed to the park to have a picnic with my mom and aunts. We had lots of fun… sandwiches, Fritos, a walk around the woods, and sticks.
My children are obsessed with sticks.
After the park, Summer, Camryn, and I along with Jillia and Bud went out to look for Halloween costumes. I hadn’t found one for either of the girls yet and obviously time is running out. We went to Once Upon a Child first. They have a huge selection of barely worn costumes for cheap. We found Camryn’s costume there – a big ol’ fluffy butterfly! She looks adorable in it!
They didn’t have anything cute in Summer’s size so we went to the party supply store next. They had a pretty big selection and after what seemed like hours she chose a Belle dress. We bought Beauty and the Beast when it was re-released last month, so they are really into Belle.
After all of that hard work we thought we deserved a treat. Holly had Facebooked about Krispy Kreme earlier in the day so I knew I had to have a donut.
I got some glazed donuts – notice I said some… no need to get specific on the amount – and the girls each chose a Halloween donut. Camryn managed to get just as much icing on her face as she got in her mouth.

Kyndra loves sticks too! Thanks to an episode of Dora she thinks they are magic sticks. And good idea about stopping and getting donuts! ;)
