Yikes! Seriously, when I was working in daycare, I had a little boy that was always putting things in his nose. At one point, he was coming in every day with breath that made me gag! His parents said they thought it was from his cold. It just kept getting worse. After about a week or so, I could no longer take it. That's when it occurred to me that it smelled like ROT! Upon further inspection I found a piece of foam shoved all the way up his nose. Pulled it out with tweezers and the smell went away. Although, it did not stop him. His parents had to take him to the doctor a few more times to have things removed from his nose! LOL! That's one kid, I'll never forget!

Okay, I shouldn't say this but so far my kids have not stuck anything up their nose.. okay so NOW they will..lol.. but when I was in HS, I was babysitting a three year old and she stuck a tiny bead up her nose and I could not get it out.. I kept telling her to blow her nose and she would breath in instead so the bead was going farther up in her nose. I freaked and called her mom, luckily she was a nurse and she came home with a pair of long tweezers and was able to get it out...that is one story I will NEVER forget..lol

BTW Steph, thanks so much for the Red Cross donation button, I just wrote a post on Haiti last night and put your button on my side bar.. that was so sweet of you!!!

Sorry this comment is so long, but I had to tell my bead in the nose story...lol

Oh my gosh! I laughed so loud when I read this! The only thing I've caught in Mason's nose is his finger, thankfully.

My daughter...somehow..shoved pieces of a snail shell up her nose. At school no less. Aren't these people paid to watch our children?
