It Makes Me Wanna...

A few days ago, I washed my face and had the urge to get pregnant.

Target stopped selling the Aveeno facewash I had been using, so I picked up an old favorite:

As soon as I smelled it, it took me right back to the hospital after my babies were born. I had forgotten that I had been using it at that time, and switched to Aveeno right after Camryn was born. Luckily my memory blocked out my c-section pain and stuck to happy thoughts like holding my tiny, sweet babies, and having all of my meals delivered right to my bed. It's amazing how powerful a smell can be.

Before you ask... no, I didn't actually try to get pregnant after washing my face. But I am going to keep using this facewash to psyche myself up for when I do!

Hahahaha!

I didn't know you wanted another baby! Good for you. I always said I wanted three...but unless we have more of an income in the future, I don't see that happening.

And you're absolutely right. Smell is probably THE most powerful of all the trigger senses. A smell can transport you to any day in your past. It's crazy.

XOXO

You are so right about smells! There is an ivory body wash I used while I was in the hospital and it makes me smile every time I use it. I think I'll go get some tomorrow! How far apart are your girls anyway?

Smells definitely have a way of reminding you of certain things. When we were in Switzerland I used this certain body wash and when I use it here it ALWAYS reminds me of the best trip of my life...
Can't wait to see how your story unfolds...I am staying tuned..lol...

I love the new blog layout! You are very talented =) Uh-oh, sounds like the face wash smell has given you the "itch!" I know what you mean, though. Every time I smell a Pampers Newborn diaper, or Johnson's Calming Lavender bath wash, it takes me back to the days after Franky was born. Crazy how smells can do that to us, lol.

LOL! That's a great story. I had the same reaction to Carmex lip balm, which I used while in the hospital after having Rylee. It's eerie how it takes you back.

Btw, Rylee just pointed to Summer and Camryn and said "I like those girls!" LOL!
