You might want to buy stock in Clorox wipes and paint.

We just put in an offer on a house! It is the very first house we looked at, and the one that we have remained the most excited about. It is a wreck now (bright red carpet, 80's chandelier, no kitchen appliances, horrible paint jobs, wooden paneling, etc.) but it has SO much potential. It has 3 bedrooms, 1.5 baths, and a big mostly finished basement. The best part is that it is exactly where we wanted to be. The neighborhood that it's in is great. If they accept our offer, we will put in all new carpet, new appliances, and then move in and finish the rest. They have 7 days to accept, counter, or reject our offer. It's a foreclosure so the process is a bit dragged out. There's a good chance we won't hear from them right away. Have I ever mentioned that this kind of waiting makes me insane??

Speaking of insane, Joe better get back with our dinner right away. Summer and Camryn are acting like they haven't eaten in a week. Summer even snuck and got a bag of lunch meat out of the fridge. I was hoping to cook a nice dinner for the first time in a week because of the storm, but we're out of everything.

I cleaned the house today and that helped me feel like things are back to normal around here. After we eat I'm going to give the girls a bath, do some laundry, and try to be in bed at 9 to watch Jon and Kate + 8. I believe tonight they are moving into their new ginormous house.

Have a great night :-)

Good luck on getting the house. And have fun making it your own if you get it. ;) I can't wait to see J&K+8 tonight! I watched last week when they showed the kids the house, it's HUGE! I'm jealous, but I guess you need that kind of spac when you have that many kiddos. ;)

Hey hun. Thats great news,
congrats! its sounds like the perfect home for you all. Especially because even though it has some work to be done. You will can make it to your own liking which is always good. I know you guys will do a great job with it and it will be beautiful. Yeah sadly the waiting part is so frustrating. I can only imagine ;( I am praying for u girl they accept the offer and all will be good. Take care girl. Have a good rest of the night, Leslie

I'm feeling your pain...our house is on the market while we have a contract on another. If ours doesn't sell the contract is off. The "new" house also needs LOTS of work...one project at a time I guess. Good luck to you. That is very exciting!

Good luck on the house. I know how much the waiting drives you crazy... I am one of the most impatient people I know.. lol! But it will all work for the best and if it's meant to be YOUR house, it will!

Best of luck! Keep us updated...if you get it take before and after pics...as you all are remodeling..

It sounds alot like our house when we first bought it..but being newlyweds we moved in and did everything little by little...we tried doing one big project at a time...we now have a newer roof(well it's prolly 6-8yrs old now) but compared to the old one it's new..lol We also had new carpet installed last year...we paint when it needs it...or when we feel the need for change...we totally re-done the outside of the house it use to be red/orange brick and part wood..now we painted the brick a clay color and where there was wood we put clay siding...and added wineberry colored shutters...work is never done there is always something that needs to be done...but it's exciting knowing that "you" own your own home and can do whatever you want to it...

So happy for you all! Best of luck

Hugs
Terri
