Thursday

After my last post, Summer got a fever and then later threw up her lunch. She was fine after that and we thought it was going away but then yesterday morning she threw up again and was acting miserable the rest of the day. Today however, she woke up smiling and said "All better!" So maybe she is finally well.

That picture was from yesterday. She fell asleep while we were watching The Holiday. I loved that movie. Kate Winslet and Cameron Diaz are some of my favorite actresses. They always do a wonderful job and Cameron Diaz makes me feel okay about having small boobs. I highly recommend that movie if you are a fan of chick flicks.

I find this next picture absolutely hilarious. My mom loves to lecture me on how "smart" people don't get big dogs when they have kids and Harley looks like a pit bull and if she is a pit bull, one day she will decide she wants to eat us and we will all die. Or something along those lines. Anyway, the other day Harley was trying to get my mom to play with her...

So vicious :-)

I'm working on something. It is a secret what that something is, but I will be able to reveal it soon. This something is a huge deal for me. I am so excited! Here is a hint:

It's probably going to be a little over a week before I can show you what exactly it is. Stay tuned!

I'd better go make lunch. Have a great day!

I think it's a grandparents job to tell us about big dogs! I've heard it 100 times. Our Annabelle is a mix, but does look like a pit bull. We've been told she is a Staffordshire Terrier, which is a 'cousin' or type of pit bull. We call her our baby pit b/c we think it's funny. She hides if you raise your voice & if you come after her w/ ANY object, she's sure you're going to use this as a weapon. She's 8 & we've had her since she was born, so we have no idea where this drama comes from.
As for your surprise...hmmmm I'm thinking photography? But, even if I'm wrong, I LOVE this pic. So cute. Is it one of your girls?

aww...so glad Summer is feeling better. That photo of you two is so sweet :)

Your mom and my mom say the same thing about the animals! I personally think it's better to get a dog young to grow up with your kids. It's more likely that the dog will protect them than attack them. I don't see the pitbull in Harley, she looks like boxer/lab mix to me.

I have a training guide that I might be able to email you. Let me know what email address to send it to and I'll see if I can't mail the files. When Amstel gets too rough with the play biting we say/yelp 'Ouch' and then walk away from him. He's gotten the point already and has stopped biting for the most part.

Can't wait to find out what your surprise is!
