Today, we went to Home Depot and got a lawn mower. We have a lawn mower at this house but it technically belongs to my Grandmother so we picked out our own today. After that we headed over to the house and Joe tore out a lot of the old kitchen flooring. We got to know the older generations of our kitchen a bit. We found...
brown peel and stick squares on the top

geometric white shapes in the middle

and groovy green, yellow, and orange on the bottom.

Camryn and Summer loved watching Joe tear everything apart. Summer said, "Daddy's breakin the kitchen!" (On a side note: I'm sick of every picture of them being obstructed by pacifiers. I think I know of two girls who are going to be visited by the Paci Fairy some time soon...)
I didn't stay too long to help. It got late quick and I took the girls home and put them to bed. Joe said his dad is going to go over there tomorrow afternoon to help finish the flooring removal and some other projects. I'm really glad to hear that because Joe's dad gets him motivated to work. They made a lot of progress last weekend.
Something very sad that you may or may not have heard. There was an 8-year-old girl, Sandra Cantu, from Tracy, California that was missing for 10 days. I had been following the story closely, hoping and praying she would be found alive. Unfortunately, yesterday morning a large suitcase was found in an irrigation pond. Tracy law enforcement announced yesterday night at a press conference that the suitcase contained the body of Sandra.

My heart is broken for her family. I can only hope that Tracy LE is very close to bringing the monster who did this to justice. They are working around the clock and seem to have several good leads and persons of interest, so I don't think it will be long. I personally think that whoever is responsible should be castrated and thrown onto an island of cannibals.
Time for bed. Hope you're all having a great week so far!
