Me? An Expert? Why thank you!

I am SO excited! I now know why my enthusiastic offer to be a writer for Chic Chat was completely ignored... it's because I was meant to be a member of the Mom Council for the new partnership of Womb to Bloom and Mentoring Mommy!

I got my acceptance e-mail from Kadi and Clarissa yesterday and couldn't have been more thrilled. I will be an "expert mom" over there (heh). I don't know many details at this point, but I do know that this website and community is going to be wonderful, with a goal of encouraging and educating other moms. I want to invite all of you to head over to Womb to Bloom to register. There is a lovely forum that I would love to see some familiar faces on!

The launch party of the newly conjoined site is this Friday, June 12th, at 8pm PST/6pm EST. There will be a radio show, games, prizes (one of which being a Dirt and Lace Shirt!), and a chat session. I am cordially inviting all of you to attend. Won't it be awesome to be a part of the beginning of a wonderful website and community? And winning prizes isn't too bad, either. I'll share more details as I learn them.

Tomorrow my template for my Dirt and Lace Shirts website is scheduled to be installed. The site will make it much easier to view designs and place orders. I can't wait! Also, the new url for my blog is going to be www.dirtandlaceblog.com. I haven't switched it over yet, but I will soon. It won't matter though, because anybody typing in my old url will still get directed here.

I hope y'alls weekend is going well. We had a fun time yesterday at my brother's graduation party, and today we are going to his friend/our family friend Jordan's grad party. Jordan's mom Gail and my mom have been best friends since they were in diapers. Now, Jordan and Wes are best friends. I think that is so neat!

Anyway, I just wanted to share that bit of news with you... have a great Sunday!

The Graduate

Today, my little brother, Wes, graduated from high school!

Last moments as a high school student:

Sitting in the auditorium, waiting for the ceremony to begin:

The class of 2009:

At my mom and dad's house afterwards:

The ceremony went really well. His high school doesn't have that many kids, I think his graduating class had 48, so it only lasted an hour.

I am such a proud big sister! He did great, and has plans to go to an awesome college, WKU, this fall.

All the good pictures are on my parents' and cousin's camera, so I'll have to add them later.

My parents are having a party for him Saturday, so that should be fun.

I ate three bowls of strawberry shortcake at my parents' house, and then came home and ate two Klondike Bars. And now I feel as though I probably shouldn't make any quick movements. I'm going to put the lap top down slowly and attempt to fall asleep, as I ignore the feeling of being on the edge of exploding.
