A few weeks ago we took the kids to the pool.
It was Jace’s first time at a pool. I carried him in and got his feet wet, which he seemed to like. Then I got him all the way in and he was alright for a few minutes but then got fussy. I went and got him a float to sit in, which he tolerated but seemed to prefer to be held. The whole time he had the same expression on his face as the following picture.
That’s how he is in every situation where things are a bit different. He gets really focused and calm, and I’d say, observant. Taking it all in.
I took this picture from the balcony of the area we were grilling our hot dogs in. Edit courtesy of Instagram.
Because of the schedule Joe works, we didn’t think he would be able to go. But he surprised us by getting off for a few hours and meeting us up there!
Summer and Camryn were jumping off the side underwater and swimming last year and they picked up right where they left off. They swim great under water, but we need to work on swimming with their heads out of the water this Summer.
Uncle Wes took Jace surfing.
Little fish.
Once the sun got low in the sky, it got too chilly for me to swim so Jace and I hung out on the chair.
This was the day that Jace discovered water. He is now obsessed with drinking out of water bottles, so if you have one near him, watch out!
