Summer has been terrified of riding a bike ever since she was big enough to get on one. We have tried to get her to sit on them at the store countless times and told her we would get her one if she wanted, with no luck. The wobbly-ness of the training wheels made her feel like she was going to fall and she wasn’t having it.
As you can see, that changed! Last night we were walking around Wal-Mart and I asked the girls if they wanted to look at the bikes.
They both said yes and ran over to them. Summer said, “I’m not going to be scared this time!”
She hopped right on one that was already on the floor and began to pedal.
She rode it around and around. We were so proud of her for conquering her fear, and we knew we had to get it for her.
We decided to go ahead and get Camryn one, too. She was finally big enough for the smaller sized bike and we didn’t want her to be left out.
They both chose Barbie bikes and Barbie helmets… there wasn’t much of a selection, the other option was Hello Kitty.
They rode the bikes around the store and then to the car and kept saying, “This is the best day, ever!”
My mom came over after lunch and we took them for a spin around the neighborhood. They did great, and are begging me to take them back outside already!

They look so cute on their matching bikes!
Lexie got the same bike and helmet for her birthday!
Oh how cute!
My daughter begged for that same larger bike for her birthday last year. We kept telling her that she would out grow it too quick but we eventually caved & bought it for her. Needless to say- it was at it max height on the first day of riding- so guess she will be getting another one here soon. But she doesn't care- she just loves it no matter what :)
Way too cute!!!
Awe!! That is awesome!! We just got Elizabeth back on her bike last night!! How crazy!! I love when they conquer their fears!
Sounds like many fun days riding bikes. Nice looking bikes.
How fun! Now you can take them bike riding around the block.
Bugsy is just starting to learn how to pedal his little tricycle. He has a bike, but he is kind of too small yet for. At least I know he is getting lots of practice in before hand.
Ryan is going to be four next month and he doesn't have a "big boy bike"....good idea!!! Consider his gift bought.
This is too cute!
How cute! Looks like they're having a blast!
We got my daughter a bike very similar to the ones your daughters have, but she's still a little bit intimidated about riding it.
Aw, look at 'em go! Ry loves riding her bike...we cannot wait for spring!
