My aunt Mary Jo and uncle Jeff decided to throw a last-minute St. Patrick’s Day party at their house this evening. Joe already had some things planned, so I took the girls.
Every St. Patrick’s Day needs a little green beer.
I think every family has their weirdo, right?
Tomorrow at noon, Joe is meeting me at Summer’s preschool for her parent/teacher conference. I know she is really smart and sweet (not taking the million times a day when her and Camryn act like they want to rip each others’ hair out into account) so I’m not too worried about what she has to say, but I’m still a little nervous! I’ve never had a 4-year-old before, so I don’t have a clue if she’s doing what she’s supposed to be doing or not.
We signed the girls up for soccer this week. I got an email today saying orientation and picture day are Saturday. No more lazy Saturdays for us until the end of May when the season ends! We also got the roster, and found out one of Summer’s classmates at preschool is on their team, so she’s really excited about that.
This next one is the only picture I got of Camryn and Summer while we were there. I had brought their new bikes with us because they hadn’t gotten to ride them yet today, and Mary Jo and Jeff have a huge, flat driveway that extends behind their house, perfect for new bikers to practice. So, they spent most of their time riding around and loved every minute.
I cut Summer’s hair Tuesday night! Can you tell? I watched a bunch of YouTube hair cutting tutorials and then went for it. I did Camryn’s too. I’ll have to take pictures up close so you can let me know what you think.
Funny story….
Tonight when I was putting them to bed, Camryn wasn’t listening. I did the ol’ counting trick and threatened a time out if she didn’t get into bed by the time I got to three.
“ONE………. TWO………..(she wasn’t quite in bed yet)...TWO AND A HALF………………(still not quite there)……….TWO AND THREE-QUARTERS……”
Then Summer interrupted, “FIVE AND SIX NICKELS!…..SEVEN HUNDRED AND EIGHTY-SIX PENNIES!…”
She was totally serious. It actually took me about 15 seconds to realize why she had said that and then I died laughing.
One more thing… I’ve started the process of opening up as Dirt and Lace Photography. I created a Facebook page for it a little while ago and would LOVE it if you’re on Facebook and would go “Like” it by clicking HERE. No pressure
Have a great day!
