Catching Up

I don’t know why it’s been five days since I’ve posted. My last post took three days to show up so that didn’t help, and we have been really busy with activities and working on things around the house.

I’m going to do two or three posts in a row to catch up, hope you don’t mind.

On Saturday, Summer and Camryn had soccer orientation and picture day. They were so excited. They met their coach and teammates, and got their team shirts. After that, we headed to my parents’ house to watch our basketball team - UK- play in the NCAA tournament. They won!

This was one of my toys as a kid… it’s a puppet. Sarah was disturbed by it.DSC_1693

Bubble blowing… backwards? No idea how that one happened!DSC_1675

So, that was our Saturday. After lots of thinking, researching, studying, reading, and encouragement, I’ve been spending a lot of time these last few weeks preparing to go into business as Dirt and Lace Photography. I’ve started offering free sessions for this week and next week to build up a portfolio and then I’ll hopefully have a website going and start charging after that point. So far, so good… I’ve done two sessions and have eight more booked. I’ve learned so much just during the two sessions I’ve done, I can’t wait to continue growing and finding my niche. And I’m having so much fun doing it! This is what life should be like, and I couldn’t be happier that I’ve decided to pursue this.
