Christmas in January

Summer’s preschool Christmas program was cancelled in December due to schools being closed because of snow. We were happy to learn that the program was rescheduled for this past Friday.

We had a big ol’ group of family and friends that were going to come to the original program. Unfortunately, my parents and brother were in Alabama at the Kentucky football bowl game, and everyone else had to work. Luckily my friend Jillia was able to leave work for a bit to come, which was really nice of her.

Summer was really excited. She had been singing the songs for us throughout her holiday break and we couldn’t wait to hear her perform them with the rest of her class!

The preschool splits up the classes throughout the week… the kids that go Mon-Wed got to do their program on the original date. The kids below are the 3 and 4 year olds and the kindergarteners that go Wed-Fri.

This was their first song… Summer was looking for us. She smiled and waved when she saw me.DSC_0479The girls above Summer and to her left are her best friends in her class. DSC_0480

DSC_0492Summer’s class did a few songs by themselves. This one was really cute, they had to stand up and sit down throughout the song when their color bell was sung about, and Summer got it right every time. I was impressed.DSC_0503 DSC_0517They also did a really cute song and dance about a Mouse named Milton. DSC_0541The school is going to be selling DVD’s of the full program next week, so everyone that had to miss it will still get to see it. I was happy to hear that and so was my mom!

Sorry about the quality of these pictures. I was so irritated with how most of them turned out that I have been reading about photography for hours this weekend.

It's hard to get pictures in those settings to turn out very good. I was in the same position with Caleb's program.

Looks like she did a good job and had a great time!
