I was Googling “handmade Christmas Gifts” –note to self: learn to sew- and Camryn was sitting next to me. I looked over and for the third time she was drawing stick figures all over my Christmas party invite list.
"Camryn!” She looked at me and said, “I’m not supposed to write with your pen…. Or play with your chapstick.”
“That’s right. And because you did after I asked you not to…”
“…And I'm not supposed to play with your glasses. And the lamp. And that (pointed at the thermostat). And cameras. And your drink. And I’m not supposed to fight over toys. Or fight over books. Or fight over your glasses because we might break them. Or fight over those (points at pictures on wall) because we might break them. And I’m not supposed to play with the Christmas tree. And your phone. And the shelf. And not the breakable stuff. And not the cabinets. And we can’t play with the ornaments. And don’t touch them. And not our fairies (ornaments) from Nicole. And not the fridge. And don’t touch your computer…”
“Ok.. Well.. Yes that is right. So you have no reason to ever get in trouble again, right?”
I gave her a hug and sent her off to play.
She’s good, that one.
