October has always been one of my favorite months. I love all of the seasons, but fall has a special place in my heart. The Summer humidity disappears as cooler air blows in through open windows. Fires are built in the evenings and more family time is spent gathered around. The excitement of Halloween is everywhere, as we choose costumes and plan our trip to the pumpkin patch. We look forward to hot apple cider, roasted pumpkin seeds, and no-bake cookies if we’re lucky. The falling leaves crunch under our feet as we take walks and breathe in that special Fall smell. Our life is beautifully normal these days. Joe recently started bringing in a bit more money which seems to be changing our life and our general outlooks for the better. Summer is LOVING preschool and her teacher has told me she is doing wonderful. Camryn is embracing her 3-year-old self and surprises us every day with the things she says and does. And I’m feeling more and more confident in the person I am and the person I plan to be.Things don’t always work out this way for an unmarried 19-year-old girl and 21-year-old guy who get pregnant. But somehow, we turned what could have been a mess into something beautiful. P.S. – Joe will be doing something really neat soon… I can’t say what it is or when it is, but when I’m allowed to tell you, I will! Here’s a hint: It’s a pretty bad hint but it’s as good as I can get without getting in big trouble! Any guesses??
