Extreme Volunteering

A few days ago (this post), I said that Joe was going to be doing something really neat soon but that I couldn’t tell you what it was yet. I got the okay yesterday to go ahead and tell you that Joe will be working on……extreme_makeover_home_edition-430x250…Extreme Makeover: Home Edition! They are coming to Louisville in a few weeks. We don’t know who the family is or why they were chosen. The family doesn’t know they were chosen yet either!

The plumbing company that Joe works for is the one that will be doing all of the plumbing in the house. They gave everyone in the company the opportunity to volunteer and Joe said he would be glad to help all three days. It’s going to be October 22-24th. I love this show and have watched it for years. I know a lot of other people love it to, so I’ll be sure to keep you all updated!

I got several guesses as to what it was he would be doing. The only one who had it right was Maren! You guys should go check out Maren’s blog… she is an amazing writer, has an ADORABLE little boy, and another on the way. Plus she’s one of the few bloggers I know in “real life”… she lives a few doors down from my parents’ house :)

The girls and I are off to my friend Erika’s baby shower. She is 34 weeks pregnant with a little girl, Gracie. And she told me she wants to blog, so you guys may get to know her soon!

Like my new Fall look? I love it! If you're reading this in a reader you should hop over here and check it out. I'm running a special (15% off your total) to those who place an order for a blog design this week if you want a Fall look, too.

Have a great Saturday!

That's exciting! They just did a home about 15 miles from my house. I think the show will be airing very soon. Watch for the one in WI. The house turned out so pretty.
Hope he will be blessed by it.

That is SOOOO cool!!!! Another blogger friend has it going on in her hometown right now and she's able to watch every step - she's blogging about it the whole way through and it seems like a true life changing experience even for those that aren't receiving the house. How cool it is going to be for him to work on it!!!!! I can't imagine the impact that will have on him - amazing! Can't wait to follow along!

Such a neat thing for Joe to be a part of! They came to my town a few years ago. It was such a cool thing to see it all taking place, and then to watch it all on TV!

That is wonderful. Your husband is a special person to be giving his time to help another family out.
