This post is just for you!
On Saturday, my wonderful, awesome, stupendous, beautiful, caring, loving mother turned the big 5-0.
We had a party for her at my parents house. By we, I mean my Dad… he really did a great job getting everything together.
Opening our gift… a tart burner (if you don’t have one, go to your Yankee candle store and get one asap) 
She got a mixture of “real” gifts and gag gifts. My uncle Jimmy gave her a mini road cone to put out when she’s having an old-person moment.
She got a beautiful necklace from my Dad, along with a poem he wrote her. If I can I will scan it and share it with you all, it was so sweet.
My aunt Angie and uncle Mike gave her some penny loafers, a head scarf, and a navy blue purse that only an elderly lady from the 90’s would love. It’s time she starts dressing her age, right?

Ha Ha, I love jokesters!! we did the same thing when my Dad turned 60, a lot of over the hill gifts! Glad she had a great day.
