“...Your toddler girl will also start realizing that she has the power to make choices and will want to choose what clothing she wants to wear…”
Summer recently realized that she can choose clothes for herself and then put them on. She’s already figured out zippers, and I believe it won’t be long before she can do buttons too.
She picked out her pajamas for tonight. She’s sleeping in a striped shirt and jean shorts. I gave her a pair of sweatpants and a tank top, telling her they would be more comfortable.
“No Mommy, I’ll just wear these. But i’ll hold those while I sleep in case I need them, okay?”
I’m glad she is learning new skills and establishing her independence… if only it didn’t involve wardrobe changes every 20 minutes…

Too cute, I love seeing pics of your little ones!
I love it! I think it's an important part of growing up, learning how to pick your own clothes. Plus I think it's adorable some of the outfits kids come up with. :)
Hahaha, I love that she has a backup outfit for bed.
So lovely hearing your voice tonight, lady! :)
How cute. Stripes and stripes go together, right? I remember the change the clothes every 20 minutes stage. It made me laugh. Except when I found the clothes in the hamper to be washed. How dirty can one get in 20 minutes? :o)
Gracie's all into dressing herself these days too. It's a good thing if we stay in the house on the days she picks out her outfits. :)
My daughter is a bear to dress...she fights and screams...I kinda can't wait till she wants to do it herself, even if it does happen too often. I'm sure I'll change my tune when it happens, though!
Awww so sweet! Her backup clothes remind me of my backup shoes that I bring if I ever wear heels! LOL!
They grow up so fast!
