Camryn's Doctor Visit & A Couch

Camryn's 18-month check-up went well, for the most part. She did quite a bit of crying. Mostly because she wanted a banana. The office has made a new rule that you can't eat in the rooms. While I understand that they are sick of kids leaving food and crumbs all over the place, I imagine cleaning up after them might be better than listening to the babies and toddlers screaming their heads off because they can't have their snacks. Hopefully they will realize this before our next trip there!

She only weighs 19.11 lbs. I thought for sure she would be over 20 lbs by now. While she has gained weight and height, her doctor would like to see her gain a bit more weight. She simply just doesn't eat enough of her meals. We'll be giving her PediaSure after meals to help. As far as development, she is above and beyond where she should be. I'm sure having a big sister to follow around and learn from has something to do with that!

Camryn is napping now, and Summer is out taking a walk with my mom. I think after Joe gets home from work, we're going to head over to a furniture store. We will be putting our sectional in the basement at the new house, so we need a couch and loveseat for the living room. I found this set that I am really hoping we can get:

And there's a chair and ottoman!

These would look great with the paint color and carpet that we have chosen.

So, that's what's going on today. Thanks for all of your well-wishes for Summer. Hopefully everything will go smoothly tomorrow!

Congrats on the new house, it's great when you get to pick out the colors and furniture, good times.
So sorry you were sad at the Dr's Gracen wasn't thrilled to be there this morning either. My girls have a cold bug, so I've been wiping lots of those tears. I'd have been sneaking in some bananas girl ;D

Don't worry about Camryn's weight my grandchild is only 17 lbs at 15 months. She is healthy and happy and has plenty of nourishment. Her blood shows good results. And about her not finishing her meals she is just going through a stage. Ellie does the same thing. She will take a growing spell before you know it.
The funiture looks nice.

Aww poor little sweetie! Hopefully they'll reconsider that rule. I don't think I would ever be able to get through ANYTHING with my kids if they couldn't have snacks. Congrats on the new house, that furniture is gorgeous! I am in love with brown.

Aww poor Camryn ;( I recall those days with doc visit with D, they were never pleasant. But it sounds like she is doing good. We had to give D pediasure too because D was so picky with food. Our little picky eater, lol. D was and still is one its unreal. Well she has improved over the past yr which we are soo happy about. Cam will be ok though i think once you all start her with the pediasure it will help lots. Oh yeah and i agree with you about the doc office. I get they dont want messes to clean but better then that poor little kids crying cause they want snacks. There beautiful. Hope you got to the furniture store to get them. Take care hun, have a good night ttys xo, Leslie

Awww!! Camryn's face looks so sad! I'm so bad... I usually bring food in with me anyways and am just really careful. Not sure about your Dr.'s office but we have waited for an hour before! An hour with no food around there is NO way. My little Jakey weighed the same at Camryn's age. My Dr. said just start up-ing his fat intake. He is 21 months now and still small. I'm not worried about it I see what he eats, but I always worry that the Dr. will think I'm malnourishing him. Cute couches =)

They tell you she needs to put some weight on, yet they won't let her eat a banana in the room. Go figure.

Congrats on the house. (I like the ugly red carpet)

That picture is adorable. My pediatrician has the same rule, and I just make sure any food and drinks are done when no nurse or doctor is around. My Addison is also on the small side. She was 19.8 at her 18 month checkup and we got the Pediasure thing too. Then she got the stomach flu and now she's down to 18.8. Addie doesn't like the Pediasure, so I have been adding Carnation Instant Breakfast to her milk. She seems to tolerate that better.
