You Gotta Be Kidding Me

Guess what my lovely daughters (and my lovely dog!) were doing while I was writing that last entry?

They were hiding beside their dresser, eating peanut butter. Again. This time, Harley decided she wanted some, too. Click on that picture for a close-up of Camryn's peanut butter covered teeth.

It's really hard to be mad at kids that are so cute while they make mischief.

When your toddler learns to unscrew lids...

...you'd better be prepared. This is by far the messiest milestone I've dealt with. Last week, Summer unscrewed a ton of fingernail polish and painted the bathroom with it.

This morning, they girls were being extra quiet. I found them sitting behind the couch...

...eating the peanut butter. Which also means that Summer knows how to remove the doorknob safety covers that are on the pantry door.

Both of these thing happened in a matter of minutes, while I was making the bed and unloading the dishwasher. I think I might start tying a rope around their waists and attaching the other end to me.

Monday

We didn't give Summer and Camryn baths last night, so I gave them one this morning. About an hour later, we had Peanut Butter and Jelly sandwiches for lunch. Camryn decided her hair was just too clean and rubbed her sticky hands all over her head.

I didn't want to re-bathe her so I took off her dirty shirt and stuck her in the sink to clean her off.

Summer is doing great at learning the alphabet. She can say her ABC's for the most part and is starting to recognize the written letters. She and Camryn (and George) were playing with the alphabet puzzle they got for Christmas, and Summer told me what the letters were as she found where they went in the puzzle.

More later, I need to see if I can get Summer to take a nap while Camryn naps so I can get this house clean!
